Jai Shri Mataji
In the history of Sahaja Yoga, it was in the evening of the 4th of May, 1970 that H.H.Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi decided to sit in meditation under a Saru (Casuarinas) tree at Nargol, Gujarat (India).

In the early hours of 5th May 1970, She experienced the opening of the Sahastrar of the Universe. Shri Mataji has described about the splendor, grandeur and Divine happening in Her earlier messages to the World at several occasions in past.
In March 1972 Shri Mataji visited Nargol for a day. Later celebrating the completion of 25 years of Sahaja Yoga activity an international Diwali Puja was organised at Her Holy Feet in Her Holy presence in October 1995. Since 1995, Sahaja Yogis have been performing regular Sahastrar Puja and Christmas Puja in Her Nirakar Form at Nargol.
The forest land surrounding the holy place has been declared as "Nirmal Van" in an official ceremonial function hosted formally by the representatives of the Indian Government along with the State administrative functionaries and the Nargol jurisdiction authorities.
A small temple has been built by the villagers near the Nirmal Tree and regular meditation is held on adjoining platform.
Recently the Government of Gujarat has alloted 5 acres of land at concessional rates in Nargol near the Nirmal Van to the H.H. SHRI MATAJI NIRMALA DEVI SAHAJA YOGA TRUST for construction of meditation hall and other facilities.
Indian Collective has already contributed which has been spent as follows:
In the first stage construction will be as follows:
- Compound wall of entire project are is constructed.
- Low line project area is uplifted by land filling of entire project area.
- Part of Meditation hall.
- Base of school building is executed.
- Construction of Health Centre is completed by 30 September 2018.
- Two floor accommodation building(Rooms & Dormitories) with sanitation facilities.
- After completion of the first stage second stage of construction will be taken up depending upon availability of funds.

Donation for Nargol must be specifically mentioned in the information sent to the Trust along with copy of deposit slip, name, address and PAN number of donor for issue of receipts for IT Exemption under u/s 80G. Foreign sahaja yogis may deposit money in FCRA Account only.
